Harvey seeks meeting on Stranorlar housing crisis

first_img Twitter Google+ Stranorlar area Councillor Cora Harvey has described the housing crisis in the Stranorlar Electoral Area as totally unacceptable, and says that urgent action needs to be taken.Cllr Harvey has requested a meeting with the County Manager in a bid to address some of the problems being faced by the Housing Section team in the Stranorlar area.She says at present, there are only 14 available dwellings and a waiting list of 500. However, she claims, there are council houses lying vacant that are not being allocated because the resources are not there to process the applications and to make the relevant assessments. This, she says is unacceptable and must be rectified.
